11月20日，中国书法家协会在顺德陈村花卉世界举行“中国书法城——佛山”授牌仪式，授予佛山市“中国书法城”称号，这也是广东省第一个获得该项称号的城市，全国获得这一称号的城市不足10个。

丁仕美先生为山西左云大楞严寺汉白玉山门题写楞严宝刹并撰写楹联
楞严禅寺，也称楞严寺，又名雷音寺，建于明代洪武年间，取楞严经之意而得名。为埠内主要佛门寺庙之一。于民国•三十五年(1946)秋遭到焚毁。
